CHOIR TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Members of YVR Pop Choir, B-Roll, Pacific Soul and Spotlight must be 16 years old or older. 

  • All vocal arrangements, harmonies, concepts and resources used in YVR Pop Choir, B-Roll, Pacific Soul and Spotlight are owned by Chorus Studio. Any person taking part in any rehearsal, performance, workshop or activity run by Chorus Studio agrees that any use of ideas, techniques, resources or teachings will not be used, amended, copied or replicated in any way at any other commercial event, nor will they be supplied or replicated to any other group or used in any other venue or arena.

  • Access to music files created by YVR Pop Choir, B-Roll, Pacific Soul and Spotlight is for the benefit of each member to facilitate the learning of parts. These music files, when made available, are for personal use only and must not be shared, broadcast, circulated by mobile technology or otherwise, or posted onto any website. 

  • Choir rehearsals are held all year long with weekly 2-hour rehearsals. Rehearsal schedules may be altered or changed at the discretion of the director to fit in with performances or other events. Certain performances may take place in lieu of rehearsals. Members will be notified of this in advance. In the event of unforeseen circumstances where rehearsals cannot take pace and alternate arrangements cannot be made, refunds will not be given. 

  •  

  • Rehearsals will not be held on stat holidays unless otherwise specified. There will be no rehearsals on the first week of January, first week of September and during Christmas Holidays. 

  • Members are expected to practice the content covered in each missed rehearsal. Should a member miss more than 3 rehearsals in a 12-week period, participation in the term end activities will be up to the discretion of the director. If a member misses 5 or more rehearsals in a 12-week period, they will not be eligible to participate in the term end activities.

  • Chorus Studio reserves the right to take film footage and photographs of members during rehearsals, workshops, private lessons and other events for use in promotion, advertising and publicity.

  • Choir members are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from rehearsals and performances, and are responsible for their own property and well-being whilst attending rehearsals, performances or other studio activities. 

  • Chorus Studio is not responsible for damage to personal belongings or to persons before, during or after rehearsals, performances or other studio activities.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

Attending Chorus Studio rehearsals and events should be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone who takes part. Members are expected to be courteous and cooperative in their behaviour towards Chorus Studio staff and fellow members and to maintain an environment without discrimination and of equal opportunity. Members should respond to the leadership and direction given by the choir director and other staff.

 

Chorus Studio reserves the right to cancel the membership of any person deemed to be in breach of any or all of the above Terms and Conditions.
