CHOIR TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Members of YVR Pop Choir/B-Roll/Pacific Soul must be 19 years old or older. Singers between the ages of 14 - 19 may join Youth Pop Choir.

  • All vocal arrangements, harmonies, concepts and resources used in YVR Pop Choir/B-Roll/Pacific Soul/Youth Pop Choir are owned by Chorus Studio. Any person taking part in any rehearsal, performance, workshop or activity run by Chorus Studio agrees that any use of ideas, techniques, resources or teachings will not be used, amended, copied or replicated in any way at any other commercial event, nor will they be supplied or replicated to any other group or used in any other venue or arena.

  • Access to music files created by YVR Pop Choir/B-Roll/Pacific Soul/Youth Pop Choir is for the benefit of each member to facilitate the learning of parts. These music files, when made available, are for personal use only and must not be shared, broadcast, circulated by mobile technology or otherwise, or posted onto any website.

  • Choir rehearsals take place during 3 academic terms: Term 1 (September - November), Term 2 (January - March) and Term 3 (April - June).  Each academic term offers a minimum of 12 rehearsals. During the summer, shorter sessions of 4 rehearsals each may be offered as well. Rehearsal schedules may be altered or changed at the discretion of the director to fit in with performances or other events. Certain performances may take place in lieu of rehearsals. Members will be notified of this in advance. In the event of unforeseen circumstances where rehearsals cannot take pace and alternate arrangements cannot be made, refunds will not be given.

  • Members are expected to practice the content covered in each missed rehearsal. Should a member miss more than 3 rehearsals in a 12-week term, participation in the term end activities will be up to the discretion of the director. If a member misses 5 or more rehearsals in a 12-week term, they will not be eligible to participate in the term end activities.

  • Chorus Studio reserves the right to take film footage and photographs of members during rehearsals, workshops, private lessons and other events for use in promotion, advertising and publicity.

  • Choir members are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from rehearsals and performances, and are responsible for their own property and well-being whilst attending rehearsals, performances or other studio activities.

  • Chorus Studio is not responsible for damage to personal belongings or to persons before, during or after rehearsals, performances or other studio activities.
