For Lessons + Workshops
Last Updated: 13/10/2025
These policies ensure a respectful and professional experience for both students and teachers. By enrolling in lessons, you agree to the following terms:
Be kind, courteous, and professional. Respect your teacher’s time and energy. No hate speech, discrimination, or bullying of any kind. Avoid political debates unless directly tied to musical content.
Chorus Studio reserves the right to refuse or end service at any time if a student’s actions do not align with our values and code of conduct.
Do not attend in-person if you are sick or symptomatic.
Our studio is fragrance-free and nut-free.
We’re happy to accommodate allergies or mobility needs, just let us know.
24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged in full.
If your teacher cancels, the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
Please respect your teacher's time by arriving on time for your lesson or workshop. If you are running late (it happens!), please let us know in advance via email. Your session will still end at the scheduled time.
Recordings of lessons or workshops may only be made with clear consent from both the teacher and the student. These recordings are for personal use only and may not be shared publicly without written permission.
Chorus Studio is a pet-friendly space! Students are welcome to bring calm, well-behaved, potty-trained pets to their lessons.
As long as your animal doesn’t disrupt the session, they’re part of the community too.

For Choirs
Last Updated: 13/10/2025
Our choirs are joyful, performance-focused communities made up of singers of all experience levels. These guidelines support a high-quality musical experience while ensuring our culture stays warm, respectful, and inclusive.
Community: Care for one another. Respect all voices, identities, and access needs.
Commitment: Arrive prepared, on time, and engaged. We grow stronger together.
Creativity: Be open to play and exploration in both voice and movement.
Integrity: Follow through, read emails, and honour your role in the group.
You are expected to attend weekly rehearsals, arrive on time, and notify your director or section leader if you’ll be away.
Prepare your music in advance, bring your sheet music (digital or printed), and come ready to sing.
Attend all band and dress rehearsals if you plan to perform.
Leave the teaching to the directors and do not coach or correct other singers unless asked.
Performances are optional, but rehearsals run continuously throughout the season. If you plan to perform, you’re expected to attend most rehearsals and all required ones (like dress or band rehearsals). If too many are missed, your director will decide whether you’re eligible to participate, based on your preparedness and impact on the group.
If you’re not performing this term, you’re welcome to miss rehearsals as needed. Just keep us in the loop so we know you’re still with us.
We expect all members to uphold a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. No hate speech, discrimination, or bullying of any kind will be tolerated.
Please avoid political debates and discussion unless directly tied to musical content.
Disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful behaviour may result in removal without refund.
Chorus Studio reserves the right to refuse or end membership for those not aligned with our Code of Conduct or policies.
Do not attend in-person if you are sick or symptomatic.
Our studio is fragrance-free and nut-free.
We’re happy to accommodate allergies or mobility needs, just let us know.
Chorus Studio is a pet-friendly space! You’re welcome to bring well-behaved, potty-trained animals, including dogs, cats, or even bunnies. As long as they’re calm, quiet, and don’t disrupt lessons or rehearsals, we'd love to meet them.
We believe animals bring joy and comfort, and they’ve always been part of our community. (Our choirs were originally founded to support animal rescue charities!)
If you have allergies or access needs that could be affected by animals in the room, let us know. We’re happy to make adjustments, such as using air purifiers or arranging your seating to ensure comfort.
We trust all members to approach this policy with care and respect — for the space, for each other, and for the animals we share it with.
Code of Conduct
At Chorus Studio, we believe that musical growth flourishes in environments rooted in care, inclusion, and accountability.
This Code of Conduct outlines the shared values and expectations that help keep our space welcoming, safe, and aligned with our mission. We ask all choir members, students, staff, and visitors to read and uphold these guidelines.
If you have any questions or accessibility needs related to this page, feel free to email us. We’re happy to help.
