At Chorus Studio, you’ll be guided by some of Vancouver’s most talented and experienced voice teachers and choir directors who convey deep technical knowledge with genuine encouragement.

We’re proudly founded and led by two Chinese Canadian women who bring care, precision, and generosity into every part of the studio.

Behind the scenes, our support and operations team keeps everything running smoothly, with high standards for service, kindness, and respect. Every member of our support team also sings within the community, so they know firsthand how powerful (and vulnerable) this work can be.

The Partnership Behind the Studio

After over a decade of teaching voice in Vancouver and abroad, Rebecca Lam Kania wanted more than private lessons. She wanted a space where students could sing together, build confidence, and find community.

In 2016, she started her first choir in a condo amenities room. When 30 more people showed up, she called on her longtime student Rachel for help and that was the beginning of Chorus Studio.

Founder and Director of Chorus Studio, Rebecca (she/her) is a sought-after vocal coach turned visionary community builder.

She built the studio from the ground up to create something rare: a space where expert vocal training is balanced with connection and purpose. And somehow, she's able to keep it all goofy and playful too.

Rachel Wong

Co-Owner / Ops Advisor

Co-owner and Operations Advisor at Chorus Studio, Rachel (she/her) built the logistics, systems, and structure that transformed one choir into a thriving studio.

She’s been our #1 champion from day one. Believing in Rebecca’s vision before it was fully formed, Rachel brought it to life with care and unwavering belief.

Music Directors + Voice Teachers

Meet our voice teachers and music directors. We're a team of passionate professionals offering singing lessons and choir experiences for singers of all levels.

We specialize in contemporary styles like pop, R&B, musical theatre, rock, and indie. Lessons focus on vocal technique, confidence, style, acting for singers, and live performance skills.

We also offer gender-affirming voice training for queer, trans, and non-binary singers.

Every instructor is trained in The Connection Method, a proven approach that blends vocal science, emotional connection, and community support. This method has helped hundreds of singers hone their voices, whether they’re brand new or seasoned pros.

Jared Suitor

Jared (he/him) is a Vancouver-based vocal coach, choir director, and multi-instrumentalist trained in Nashville.

A seasoned performer with sharp musical instincts, he helps singers build skill, confidence, and authentic artistry.

As Faculty Mentor and our most senior private teacher, Jared leads Spotlight and B-Roll Choir and shapes the vocal training standard across the studio.

Marie Hui

Marie (she/her) is a voice and performance coach, recording artist, and stage performer with 20+ years of experience.

She’s known for singing anthems at Canucks, BC Lions, and Seahawks games, and brings industry insight to every lesson.

As our performance coach, she teaches private voice and leads Singers Circle, helping singers grow confidence, stage presence, and storytelling skills.

Tiffany Rivera

Tiffany (she/her) is a Vancouver-based vocalist, performer, and music educator specializing in pop, R&B, and soul.

With extensive professional training and major stage experience, she brings grounded musical leadership, clarity, and intention to every rehearsal.

As Music Director of Pacific Soul at Chorus Studio, Tiffany leads singers of all levels in a welcoming, confidence-building environment designed to make complex concepts feel accessible and empowering.

Marlie Collins

Marlie (she/her) is a professional vocalist, actor, and voice and performance coach with over a decade of experience across music, theatre, film, and voice work.

Known for her warmth, humour, and grounded technique, she specializes in working with singers and actively working film and television actors, supporting sustainable voice use and expressive clarity.

At Chorus Studio, Marlie helps singers develop confidence and authenticity onstage through focused, playful performance coaching.

Jodie (she/her) is a voice teacher, actor, and director who specializes in musical theatre and pop. She works with kids, teens, and adults to build vocal technique, confidence, and stage presence.

Known for her warmth and clarity, Jodie creates a supportive space where shy or emerging singers can thrive.

She also offers acting coaching for singers who want to connect emotionally and tell powerful stories on stage.

Known for their nurturing presence, Nova creates a supportive space where every singer can grow. Their passion for vocal technique helps beginners develop strong, reliable foundations for confident singing.

They also offer gender-affirming voice work, helping trans and non-binary singers explore vocal identity with care, skill, and respect.
