The Rachel Wong Legacy Scholarship
Supporting people living with metastatic cancer and the caregivers who walk beside them.
Rachel Wong was Co-Founder of Chorus Studio and helped shape it from the very beginning.
Rachel and Rebecca were best friends before they were business partners. Chorus Studio grew out of a relationship built on love, respect, and trust.
Together, they created a place where people could feel seen, supported, and free to find their voice.
After a courageous journey with Stage 4 cancer, Rachel passed away peacefully in July 2026, surrounded by her family.
Throughout her cancer journey, music and this community brought Rachel immense joy. Rehearsals, performances, and the people she sang alongside gave her something to look forward to, a place to belong, and moments of happiness even during incredibly difficult years.
The Rachel Wong Legacy Scholarship was created in her memory to offer full or partial tuition support to people living with metastatic cancer, as well as caregivers supporting someone with metastatic cancer.
We hope it can give others facing similar circumstances some of what Chorus Studio gave Rachel: music, connection, joy, and a place to simply be themselves.
Her legacy will continue to live on in every person who discovers their voice and finds belonging here.
Applying is Simple
We know that living with cancer or caring for someone who is can already come with an enormous amount to navigate. We don’t want applying for this scholarship to add to that.
Our application is short, private, and intentionally simple. We won’t ask you to write an essay or provide detailed financial information.

Scholarships are offered based on available funding.
Give Someone the Chance to Sing
Many people in our community have asked how they can contribute in Rachel’s memory.
Contributions to the Rachel Wong Legacy Scholarship help cover tuition for people living with metastatic cancer and caregivers supporting someone with metastatic cancer, giving them access to music, connection, and community during an incredibly difficult time.
All contributions are tracked separately by Chorus Studio and used exclusively to support the scholarship. Chorus Studio may also contribute additional funding to help make scholarship support possible.
You can contribute any amount of $5 or more. We’ve set a small minimum so processing fees don’t take up too much of each contribution.
There is absolutely no expectation to give. If you’d like to contribute, contributions of any amount are deeply appreciated.
