Rachel Wong is the co-founder and director of operations at Chorus Studio. Her musical roots stem from studying and performing piano at a young age.
An experienced pianist and teacher, Rachel studied classical piano under the Australian Music Examinations Board in Malaysia from the ages of seven to fourteen. She continued her studies under the Royal Conservatory of Music upon moving to Canada. Rachel holds A.R.C.T. diplomas for both Piano Performance and Teaching. Rachel has over ten years of teaching experience under her belt, and has taught piano and music theory to students from various diverse musical backgrounds.
After the conclusion of her formal piano studies, Rachel began studying voice. She has been a student of international vocal coach Rebecca Lam for the past ten years. Rachel has performed as a featured soloist in YVR POP CHOIR and B-ROLL at The Cultch Historic Theatre and The York Theatre in Vancouver. She is trained in The Connection Method and teaches voice to singers of all levels.
Knowledgeable, patient, wise and kind, Rachel makes learning voice, piano or music theory feel organic and effortless. She is especially skilled in listening to her students' needs and providing a clear direction to help them achieve their unique goals.
