For Choirs

Last Updated: 13/10/2025

Our choirs are rooted in consistency, care, and shared accountability. These policies outline what you can expect as a member and what we ask in return to keep things fair, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.

  • Our choir membership runs on a rolling basis throughout the year. Members pay a monthly fee and can join at any time, pending space availability. Membership renews automatically each month until you cancel.

To cancel your membership, email us at least 14 days before your next billing date.

  • If a choir is full, new singers will be added to the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis. Returning members always receive priority registration.

  • To cancel your choir membership, email us at least 14 days before your next billing date.

Membership fees are charged one month in advance. If we receive your cancellation notice at least 14 days before your next billing date, we’ll issue a full refund for the upcoming month.

Cancellations made with less than 14 days’ notice are not eligible for a refund.

  • One-month pauses are not permitted, as membership fees cover more than just weekly rehearsals. They support curriculum, staff, and community access.

To pause your membership, you must provide at least two weeks’ notice before your next billing date. Return to choir after pausing is not guaranteed. However, paused members will be placed on a priority waitlist if the choir is full when they’re ready to return.

  • We expect all members to participate in building a safe, inclusive, and respectful space. Disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful behaviour may result in removal from the program without refund.

We reserve the right to refuse or revoke membership at any time for individuals who do not align with our code of conduct or community values.

  • Chorus Studio regularly captures photos and videos during rehearsals, performances, and events.

By participating in our programs, you agree to be included in this media, which may be used for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and advertising.

We’re mindful about how we represent our community and aim to showcase our singers with care and respect. If you have specific concerns about being filmed or photographed, please reach out to us.

  • We take 3 breaks per year: the first week of January, the first week of September, and a winter holiday break. These are included in your membership fee and support planning, arranging, and administration, as well as rest and reset time for our music directors.

  • Do not attend in-person if you are sick or symptomatic.

Our studio is fragrance-free and nut-free.

Pets are welcome if well-behaved, potty-trained, and non-disruptive.

We’re happy to accommodate allergies or mobility needs, just let us know.

For Lessons + Workshops

Last Updated: 13/10/2025

These policies ensure a respectful and professional experience for both students and teachers. By enrolling in lessons, you agree to the following terms:

  • We expect all students to treat their teachers and fellow studio members with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior may result in termination of lessons.

Chorus Studio reserves the right to refuse or end service at any time if a student’s actions do not align with our values and code of conduct.

  • Lessons and workshops must be booked and paid in advance through our booking system.

All lessons, workshops, and lesson packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Lesson or workshop spots are not guaranteed without pre-payment.

  • 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged in full.

If your teacher cancels, the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.

  • If you arrive late, your lesson will still end at the scheduled time.

If the teacher is delayed, your full lesson time will be honoured or rescheduled.

  • If your teacher is unavailable, we’ll notify you as soon as possible and work with you to find a new time that fits your schedule. We do not offer substitute teachers, as each instructor has their own rate and teaching style.

  • Lesson recordings (audio or video) may be used for educational purposes such as personal review, practice support, or teacher training, but only with mutual consent from both student and teacher.

Recordings will never be shared externally or used for marketing without express permission from all parties involved.
