Hello friends,
In the spirit of the holidays, we decided to create a COVID-19 inspired parody of Mariah Carey's treasured classic, "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Featuring super-spreader Santas, toilet paper shortages and solemn vows to stay six feet apart, our mission in creating this light-hearted take on the pandemic was to spread joy (not the coronavirus!) and remind us to stay safe and take care of each other!
We are incredibly honoured to have our video and choir mentioned by our Provincial Health Officer and BC's top doctor, Dr. Bonnie Henry in her livestream update on December 2, 2020. We were also privileged to be featured by various media outlets, including CTV News Vancouver, CBC News The National and The Huffington Post. The positive response to our little video has been overwhelming, and we are so grateful to have brought smiles, laughter and perhaps a few groans of recognition at the rollercoaster ride that is 2020!
From the creation of the parody lyrics to the filming of the visual gags, it has been an absolute joy to see this video come together. Thank you for watching our video, and for doing your part to care for our community by wearing a mask and social distancing. To quote our song, "Together, we'll pull through!"
